A LIFE (so far)...

MEDIA, MARKETING, CONTENT

Raised in Texas, adulthood started in New York City at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts Film School. By graduation I had worked at a SOHO commercial post facility (huge Ad agencies with GE, Pepsi types of clients), one West Village industrial production house, and on two Bill Moyers documentaries. Before leaving New York, I worked on an HBO film with Pulitzer Prize-winning director, James Lapine, and was initiated into the Motion Picture Editors Union.

Hollywood. Working  in a lead role in motion picture editorial on studio movies from pre-production through release - 50% of the job was creative contribution and 50% was leading teams and managing myriad assets through departments and development. On set daily during film production with folks such as Garry Marshall and M. Night Shyamalan, I also traveled internationally as a representative of films in celebrity and marketing  scenarios. Two terms were served as an elected member of the Motion Picture Editor's Guild Board. I taught myself to play guitar during this time and began performing around Los Angeles.

Saying goodbye to Los Angeles to relocate to Portland, Oregon - I sold my Hollywood Hills home  to dig in to Indie music which I had fallen in love with. Writing, recording, booking tours, PR - I spent two years immersed in songwriting, music creation, and touring the country. Two records were released under moniker, Fall of Snow.

Back to Texas. Texas got me producing across industries and platforms for clients and my own projects: blogging, short films, luxury-brand photography, marketing / PR, working on systems invention and betterment, efficiencies / automations, running and managing businesses,  inventing, consulting with investment firms about creative platforms and trends... continued leadership serving customers and community.

I have collaborated with, appeared on, or produced for:

HBO, Disney, Michael's, Neiman Marcus, Universal Pictures, Sally Beauty Supply, Netflix, Dallas Museum of Art,  Rodeo Goat, Edible Magazine, Miramax, City of Dallas, Dallas Animal Services, Sisterbrother MGMT, AT&T Performing Arts Center, Rybovitch Yacht Marina, Wix,  Cheddar News, NBC, Fox, Touchstone, PBS, Hulu.

Where can we go?

BUT, ABOUT YOU...

You need guidance, a leader, and want creative work to be proud of and excited by. You want people to be aware of this work, offering, and effort so they may become a client or customer. Collaboration with an experienced creative executive will fill knowledge and ideation gaps, inspire forward momentum, and explicitly identify pathways forward.

LEADERSHIP

High Standards, Clear Expectations, Encouragement, Inclusion, Kindness, Teaching, Collaboration

"Best boss ever" notes, team members eager to meet standards, and the want for continued collaboration are all flattering but witnessing soar from those you have trained, encouraged, and lead is the real deal.

Leading by (good) example is important to me - with team and clients.

PRODUCTION

Negotiation, Budget, Contracts, Workflow, Quick Changes, Fast Decisions, Decisive Moves, Timelines, People, Egos, Execution, Efficiency

Introduced to production in the wild west of Agency, Global Brand commercials in NYC then tossed into the celebrity-laced, studio-film space that is Hollywood means a base of production skill applicable in any creative environment. Years of cross-platform and varietal-industry production leadership means nimble operations and confident ownership over decisions and parameters.

I have experience producing digital content, events, branding, photography, websites, graphics, music, short-form writings, and films.

STRATEGY & DIRECTION

Ownership of Vision, Confident Guidance, Refined Creative Eye, Team Leadership, Trust, and Collaboration

Identification, research, and planning come first.

Leading the creative vision and steering a creation ship entails a grip on the bird's eye view alongside the ability to quickly pop into a specific channel and guide it into cohesion with all parts.

Good strategy or direction requires heart and problem solving. An openness to unexpected twists and turns and the ability to move and shake with them is important. This is where unexpected brilliance sometimes crops up.

Working with what you've got, making it the best it can be, staying true to the purpose and vision.

CONNECTION

Visibility, Education, Awareness

With any effort - getting the word out is just as important as doing the thing.

Website content, social media content, PR/media features and interviews (print, radio, television, live, pre-recorded), educational materials (digital, print), connection for continued communication and involvement.

It is important to make it as easy as possible on people to participate via the fewest steps feasible.

IMPACT

BRAND

COPY Short-form writing has always peppered into my work. Naming, Titles, Taglines, Songs, Socials, Websites, Blog Content, SEO.

SOCIALS

Culture, Lifestyle, Food, Fashion, Media, Non-Profit, Animals, Art, Music, Community

I am interested in the spaces which feed our minds and bodies and connect us through the human experience.

How can we catch attention and make impact? Where is there room for making this or that thing more meaningful?

UI / UX

A Dallas Community passion project was two years co-producing the Texas Veggie Fair (RIP after 10 years!). Impact included rebranding, doubling attendance, growing the volunteer program and overall offerings, and recruiting notable, celebrity participants.
